Guitar player, won prize when participated in an international guitar festival in France, at the age of 15. Graduated in music from FASM – Faculdade Santa Marcelina, he has an active career as a soloist and chamber musician. Aside from being a performer, he also acts as a composer and arranger. Nowadays, he also takes part into the “Trio Opus 12” (guitar trio with Paulo Porto Alegre and Edelton Gloeden), “Núcleo Hespérides” (contemporary chamber music) and Paulo Belinatti trio (with Paulo Belinatti – guitar, and Israel de Almeida – 7 strings guitar).
Born in 1981, he begun studying music at the age of 6. Incentived by the guitar player José Murray, he intesified his studies on classical guitar after he was 13-year-old. He then studied with: Floriano Rosalino, Ceslo Brescia (at Cia. Das Cordas), Edelton Gloeden, Paulo Porto Alegre and Paulo Bellinati.
When he was 15-year-old, he won the 2nd prize in the “Concours International de Guitarre de Trédez-Locquemeau (France)”, when he studied with Alberto Ponce for a month in La Coûme, Pyrenees. After that, he had studied lute with Silvana Scarinci and Carin Zwiling for 2 years.
When he was 17-year-old,he entered at FASM – Faculdade Santa Marcelina where he studied classical guitar and also contemporary music with Silvio Ferraz and Flo Menezes, with whom he continued his studies on musical analisys even after he graduated.
In 2001 he started to dedicate himself also to composing meanwhile he studied composition with the respected pianist João Carlos Assis Brasil.
In 2002 he performed in a duo with his teacher Paulo Porto Alegre, focused on XXth Century Music repertoire. In 2003, he performed a solo recital in Nantes-France, playing Brazilian popular and contemporary music, including some of his compositions. He also took part into the “34º Festival Internacional de Campos de Jordão”, one of the most relevant festivals in Brazil. In August, the same year, he performed at “Festival Música Nova’’ (dedicated to contemporary music) and in September and October, he performed in France, both Lannion and Paris (at the Brazilian Embassy and Maison de L´Amerique Latine).
In 2004, he performed as classical guitar player and composer for the “Me Gusta Neruda” play, where the languages of music, dance an /d theatre were combined in an honor to Pablo Neruda. In this play he interacted with Gustavo Barbosa Lima (clarinet), Juan Castiglioni and Marisa Magalhães (dancers). He also took part into the “Cenapoética” project with french poet Yvon Le Men in many places in São Paulo and in the Festival “Étonnants Romantiques” in Combourg, France. He also performed in Paris in the “Fête de La Musique” (at Brazilian Embassy) and took part into the “BIMESP” (biannual event dedicated to electro acoustic music) in São Paulo.
Nowadays, he teaches classical guitar at Cia. das Cordas. He takes part into the “Trio Opus 12” (guitar trio with Paulo Porto Alegre and Edelton Gloeden), “Núcleo Hespérides” (contemporary chamber group music with respected musicians such as Andréa Kaiser, Antônio Ribeiro, Rosana Civile, José Antônio Soares, Paulo Porto Alegre, Joaquim de Abreu, Rogério Wolf, Heloisa Petri, José Augusto Mannis and Celso Delneri) and Paulo Belinatti Trio (with Paulo Belinatti – guitar and Israel de Almeida – 7 strings guitar).
